Story "Part II"

"See you back in SC", Bobby shouts as he hops onto the bus. His time in the backcountry is over but his two friends are hiking for the rest of the week. He walks towards the back of the bus and takes a seat behind a guy and what looks like his girlfriend. Bobby slumps into the seat and dozes off. The bus is one of those tall touring buses with room underneath for your luggage. Bobby opens his eyes half way just enough to see the sun beginning to set between the edges of the, now golden, granite valley. As he watches the pine trees and granite boulders pass by he begins to listen to the conversation that the couple in front of him is having. "the others . . . They were having so many problems", says the girl to the guy. She continues, "the leaders were worried", the guy responds, "they'll be fine, they know what they got themselves into . . .". Bobby can't really hear precisely what they are talking about but he turns his ear towards them and listens harder. The dude is talking, "the bacteria first attacks the litovaze in your stomach and then" "Swooosh" a semi passes by and Bobby can't hear for a second. Now the girl is talking, "it looks so horrible". Bobby is starting to get a little bit worried now. He thinks to himself, "what are these people talking about?", he has not quiet come of off the stupor he was in and he decides he should get some more sleep. When he wakes up it is dark and he is still tired. The couple in front of him are still talking, however, now Bobby can't understand a word they're saying. He shakes his head and listens again. Still all he hears its, "Guuummjikeee ye ki ki diklo hmmm". These people are speaking some language he has never heard. He starts figating and trying to go back to sleep but he can't. There is something about these people that is making him nervous.
