Sight at First Love
I met you in the morning the sun had barely come,
I spoke a bit too softly as you quarried me lightly,
Do you know where any of that’s from?
Replying I don’t, you whispered from the throat,
Hello nice to meet you join me for a bite?
Gladly I will but Miss, is that your coat?
I’m a lady she slyly retorts, as she shuffles and sorts,
Nervously smiling, I could not be offended.
She walked on slowly, I walked up boldly.
I am your new man, is that your plan?
Wrong again but just not too hasty,
Love is a strong word don’t go and waste it.
I don’t mind at all your kisses are tasty
As my life she can throw into the pit.
But she has never gone all our lives long.
And together we lie all the while we sigh,
Forever engulfed in each others charm.

Good efforts, these new ones don't quite have the simple charm of Beauty Shines, or the heart-on-your-sleeve honesty of Makeup Blues. Keep 'em coming though, you've just set a high standard with your earlier works.
