Too damn cute

Hey everyone out there in blog-land. So just like any self respected fan-boy I have been keeping myself up to date on the upcoming movie Superman Returns. Bryan Singer and company have started shooting of what could be the next great superhero franchise and they have been putting out video journals showing off some of the early sets. So far everything has looked amazing, until today. Today the first shots of Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane were revealed. To my dismay it doesn't look pretty. Don't get me wrong, Bosworth is as hot as the sun but she is just too damn cute. There is no way she is going to be able to pull off Lois Lane. She is too ultra cute, and any saucy line shes going to deliever is just going to make me laugh. This is probably the worst casting in any major role since Ben Afflack as Dare Devil. How is she going to push around Clark Kent with that cute face and sweet voice, how is she going to be able to be the hard noise reporter that she is, how? The only thing that gives me a shred of hope is Bosworth's performance in Blue Crush where she had to be a bitch and played a harder character over all. I don't know, maybe she can pull it off. But the look she is showing spells desaster. Although, Singer has a great track record and I think I can be confident in his skill to pull this one together. I just hope the distant trailer will confirm my hopes and destroy my fears.
